Charity Auctions

Charity auctions are events where donated baskets and items are auctioned to raise funds. All items are generously donated by community members, local businesses, or supporters, with the proceeds going directly to help animals in need.

The activity is organized and conducted by our volunteer staff, who donate their time to set up, run, and oversee the auction. Volunteers also help in gathering donated items and ensuring smooth operations during the event. These charity auctions are typically held at venues that donate their space, such as community halls, local event spaces, or in collaboration with other nonprofit organizations.

About 20 percent of the total time of the organization’s volunteer staff is allocated to this activity, as it requires planning, coordination, and a considerable amount of time to procure donated items and set up the event. Any administrative costs such as printing programs or promotional materials are covered by additional in-kind donations or minimal cash donations.

The charity auction directly supports our mission to help animals in need by raising funds through the sale of donated goods. The revenue from the auction allows us to provide immediate care and resources for the animals that fall under our criteria, fulfilling our purpose without using any donated funds for operational costs.
